About Materie

Materie Home was conceived in Aspen, Colorado in 2023 by designer Nicole Hernandez out of a pure love and passion for design, beauty, and quality craftsmanship.

Inspired by Aspen’s minimalist, luxe lifestyle, Materie is a thoughtfully curated collection of unique objects and home furnishings that capture the passion, purpose, and freedom of modern mountain life.

The collection includes original designs, collaborations and items from international artisans and designers of the highest quality. Every object we curate or create is designed to last a lifetime, not a season.

Nicole is the visionary behind the Mountain Luxe design aesthetic and the Founder of Materie. She is also the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Matter Interiors, the award-winning interior design and interior architectural design firm behind Aspen's most exclusive luxury lifestyle homes.
